One of the leading IT recruitment companies within the UK established over 20 years and with a turnover in excess of Ј95 million require a team leader for their contract desk based in Manchester.
Job Purpose i. To achieve personal and Team annual sales quota and other targets and performance levels set and agreed with the Sales Director. ii. To provide training, supervision and leadership to the sales team within your area. iii. To canvass, on a daily basis, companies within the sales territory which have been identified as possible users of contract staff with a view to placing contractors in available positions.
Principal Accountabilities o Guide and support the Sales Team in all areas of sales, to aid the achievement of personal and Team objectives. o To ensure that all Team members including the Sales Researchers, canvass on a daily basis, companies within their vertical market space, seeking out new business. This will be within the method of approach as detailed in Company Rules of Engagement. o Make the requisite number of sales calls as necessary to maintain an acceptable pipeline of prospective clients. o To arrange sales meetings on a consistent and regular basis as directed by the Sales Director to undertake the selling of the companys services in respect of the companys modus operandi. o To assist the Bid Manager where required, in the process of responding to ITTs received from companies within the allocated sales territory. o To endeavour at all times when in contact with the clients or prospective clients to obtain current and*or future requirements. To evaluate such requirements and to initiate, by discussions with the Sales Consultants either by telephone or meeting, all necessary procedures, to allow prospective candidates to be contacted without undue delays. In the absence of other resources the Sales Consultants or Team Leader will undertake any input, production and dispatch of CVs and letters with regard to the assignment(s). o If necessary, to assist the Sales Researchers in making the requisite number of telephone calls, so as to contact all possible candidates identified from the selection process.
o To keep in close contact with the Sales Consultants and Sales Researchers so as to be aware of candidates selected, CVs dispatched, interviews arranged etc, and to be available to liase with the client as necessary. o To ensure that during the entire client development cycle, all possible assistance is afforded the Sales Consultants and the Sales Researchers in the process of satisfying client requirements. o To continue regular liaison with the client, so as to further enhance the Companys standing within the organisation. o To be involved in the recruitment of Sales Consultants and Sales Researchers as and when required. o To provide Management Information in an appropriate format and within set timescales.
Planning o Setting daily*weekly*monthly objectives for Sales Consultants and Sales Researchers o Visiting clients o Making sales calls o Making placements o Write a monthly Business Report
Supervision of People o Supervision of the Sales function within your area o Identify the training and development needs of assigned staff o Perform monthly business reviews with assigned staff o Provide forecast figures for Sales Director o Provide on-the-job training in order to develop assigned staff as appropriate.

Knowledge Skills & Experience Required o Excellent communication skills at all levels o Proven sales record o Proven Man-Management ability o Good understanding of the Microsoft tools o Thorough understanding of the Company Management system o A good understanding of Eureka
Basic salary will be commensurate with experience up to Ј30k with an OTE of Ј70k+
